![]() October 27, 1973 - IROC Round 1 - Riverside, California - Peter started the very first IROC race the same way he started his Morgan some 13 years ago on the eastcoast, next to polesitter Mark Donohue. The first IROC races were 30 lap races run in indentically prepared Porsche Carerras. Peter finished the first round behind winner Mark Donohue and Bobby Unser.
![]() October 27, 1973 - IROC Round 2 - Riverside, California - With the starting lineup inverted from the finishing order of the first round results, Revson was forced to start round #2 from the back in 9th spot. A throttle problem for Mark Donohue on lap 7 allowed Peter to gain points on Donohue who finished last. Peter finished 4th. George Follmer won the second round of IROC. October 28, 1973 - IROC Round 3 - Riverside, California - In IROC round three, Peter started 9th and finished 7th. Mark Donohue won his second of three IROC rounds so far. The top six in the IROC series would now travel to the Daytona Speedway for the fourth and final round on February 14, 1974.

Foyt February 14, 1974 - IROC Finale - Daytona Beach, Florida - Peter started 2nd in the 25 lap IROC Finale on the 3.810 mile road course at Daytona International Speedway. Peter finished in second to Mark Donohue who became the first ever IROC series champion. Peter Revson was awarded $21,200.00 for his second place points standings.
